HELP NEEDED TO THE TUNE OF £200,000

RAME GIG CLUB - UPDATE AS OF 01.10.09  We are in the process of applying for two separate grants.  One through Cornwall Council in the sum of £40,000 with "Our money Your Dream" we are through to the final stages of this grant and hopefuly will hear the outcome in the next couple of weeks.

The second grant we are applying for is through the BBC Countryfile and Lottery which, if successful will enable the full rebuild and redevelopment of our shed and the way we operate as a club.  All fingers are crossed and all prayers are welcome in respect of our luck on this one.  If we are successful in receiving this grant, work will be underway before July 2010.  We will all need to get used to a few BBC camera's around the place for the duration of the redevelopment.

Should all this fail, then we will once again be in a position of mass fundraising to enable us to continue with the progression of our development programme.

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS HELPED US SO FAR.

In August 2007, Rame Gig Club successfully extended Planning Permission to rebuild and renovate the Gig Shed.  Plans are on display in the Gig Shed and are valid until August 2010. Unfortunately, the sum required for the estimated work is in the region of £200,000.

We are appealling to everyone to help us achieve our goal and donate secure this valuable facility for generations to come. All fundraising ideas will be considered by the Committee and all help in implimenting these ideas are most welcome. TARGET £200,000 We are working very hard towards achieving our target, however, help is needed. If you feel able to "sponsor a brick (or slate/concrete/steel/kitchen/plumbing!!!" one wall will be dedicated to sponsors names sections of the Gig Shed can be sponsored at £5.00per brick sized section of the wall  *** only 40,000 sponsors and we crack it!!!

Please Support our coffee mornings and BBQ's on the beach, fun days, karaoke nights and river cruise.. All these activities help in the running costs of the club with the surplus going to a separate account purely for the purpose of raising our £200,000.

We have managed to raise in excess of £10,000 this last year.  Now we have the planning permission, and activities planned in abundance, we will also be  submitting grant applications and working hard to find sponsorship and beneficiaries to work with.

Anyone out there with a few spare grand floating around your bank account, looking for a worthy cause to invest in, then look no further!!!

Keep watching this space for updates on how we are doing.
